1964 var året, hvor USA for første gang faldt for The Beatles, med en hidtil uset serie af albummer og singler, der toppede hitlisterne og fortsatte med at sælge millioner af eksemplarer. Men disse albummer er ikke blot replikaer af de albummer fra 1963 og 1964, der blev udgivet af Parlophone i Storbritannien og resten af verden.

Med en anden mulighed for øje, sammensatte Capitol Records og United Artists disse albummer til amerikansk udgivelse mellem januar 1964 og marts 1965. For at fejre det betydningsfulde år, hvor Beatlemania eksploderede på tværs af USA, er syv Beatles-albummer samlet til et spektakulært nyt 8LP vinylboxset.
