Willy and the Poor Boys blev udgivet i november 1969 og modtog stor kritikerros og kommerciel succes. LP'en indeholder en af de mest vedvarende protestsange, "Fortunate Son," samt essentielle CCR-numre som "Down on the Corner" og "Midnight Special."
Albummet nåede nummer 3 på Billboard 200 og blev også inkluderet i Rolling Stones liste over "500 Greatest Albums of All Time." Nu tilgængelig på vinyl i farven Yellow Smoke.
