Beskrivelse
Tikkili Pjettursson’s captivating artwork has intrigued the author since he first arrived in Uummannaq 15 years ago. His paintings are cherished in many homes across this small Greenlandic town and have found their way to collections throughout Greenland and beyond.
An exclusive look at the artist Tikkili Pjettursson and his remarkable body of work.
Until now, no dedicated publication has showcased Tikkili Pjettursson or his art. Nor have exhibitions of his work been organized outside Uummannaq. The main reason is simple: his paintings sell almost as quickly as they are created, leaving no surplus to support exhibitions.
This scarcity inspired the author to compile a comprehensive presentation of Tikkili’s art while it was still possible to gather a meaningful selection from private collections in Uummannaq. This book offers a rare opportunity to explore the unique creations of an artist whose work continues to captivate and spread far beyond his northern Greenlandic home.
