Susan Frobisher and Julie Wickham have been close since school days and now find themselves turning sixty in their quiet Dorset community. Susan appears to have it all-a beautiful home and a long-standing marriage to Barry, an accountant. Julie’s path has been tougher, marked by failed businesses and rocky relationships, but she’s found some stability living in a council flat and working at a care home.

Everything changes when Barry is discovered dead in a secret apartment-a porn dungeon-and it turns out he’s racked up enormous debts. With the bank threatening to seize Susan’s house, she faces losing everything she’s worked for. But inspired by an 80-year-old gangster known as Nails, Susan and Julie hatch a bold plan: instead of letting the bank take their home, they’ll take on the bank itself.
