In the midst of a rainy, dark autumn night, a man walks the empty streets haunted by memories. He clings to the familiar comfort of a gun and the flicker of a cigarette as he reflects on his past and the loneliness that now surrounds him.

A poignant journey through memory, solitude, and the search for meaning.

The rain pours down as he moves through the shadowy streets, a strange, familiar feeling welling up inside him. Pausing in a particularly dark corner, he tightens his raincoat around his neck, glancing cautiously around to make sure no one is nearby.

Finding himself alone, he slips his hand beneath his armpit, shifting the gun into his coat pocket. The reassuring weight of the weapon offers a comforting sense of security. His cigarette, long extinguished, hangs soggily from his mouth, and despite his reluctance, he spits out the wet remains.

His thoughts drift back to more serious times-when life had purpose and he had a mission to fulfill. Though those days feel distant, they are painfully close in his mind. Tonight, the loneliness presses down harder than ever, making him question the worth of a life he fought so fiercely to protect for five long years.

Slowly, his natural sense of humor begins to pull him back from the edge. With some effort, he stops to unbutton his coat, reaching into his trouser pocket for cigarettes and matches. Lighting up again, he feels a little lighter, seeing the night and his situation in a somewhat brighter light.
