Rammstein udgav i 1997 deres andet studiealbum Sehnsucht, der udkom i fodsporene af tre vellykkede singler.
Sehnsucht blev et kæmpe hit ved udgivelsen og er kendt for bandets kæmpestore hitsingle "Du Hast".
Det tyske band Rammsteins album "Sehnsucht" er det eneste album i hele Tyskland der har fået en certified platinum af RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America).
