The bond between humans and the divine is unraveling. A man who has died now wanders through different worlds, foretelling the doom of Odin. After a brutal massacre, the sole survivor unleashes a fiery beast from Muspelheim. Meanwhile, a village is destroyed by Christians, sparking a quest for vengeance.

Hilda, Ragnar, and their fellow tribesmen Einer and Finn, along with the chief’s wife Siv and her adopted daughter Tyra, must rise up to protect the old ways from extinction. Their fight is not only to save their traditions but also to defend their gods.

As the final battle draws near, this fierce and magical tale skillfully intertwines Norse legends with rich, compelling characters, echoing the storytelling style of Neil Gaiman and Joanne Harris.
