Conversation Piece er et 5-CD bokssæt, der følger David Bowies tidligere udvikling, gennem 1968 og 1969, via hans demoer, BBC radio sessioner, studieindspilninger med guitaristen John 'Hutch' Hutchingson, samt den eksperimentelle musik og mimegruppen, Feathers. Kollektionen fejrer også 50-års jubilæet for udgivelsen af "Space Oddity" singlen og Bowies selvbetitlede andet album.

Samlingen består af 12 tidligere uudgivne numre og demoer fra samme periode, samt et helt nyt remix af Space Oddity albummet, fra produceren Tony Visconti.

Med samlingen følger der også en 120-siders hardback bog med eksklusivt memorabilia fra Bowies tidligere manager, Ken Pitts personlige kollektion, samt fra David Bowie Arkivet. Heri får du billeder fra Ray Stevenson, Vernon Dewhurst, David Bebbington, Ken Pitt, Alec Byrne, Tony Visconti and Jojanneke Claasen.
