Beskrivelse
Asteroid City is the screenplay of Wes Anderson's latest film, featuring Scarlett Johansson and Tom Hanks. Set in a fictional desert town around 1955, it explores an annual convention that takes an unexpected turn.
A captivating story blending a theatrical ensemble with a poetic reflection on life’s deeper meanings.
Adapted from a "hypothetical" play, Asteroid City centers on the yearly Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention. This event gathers students and their parents from all over the country for fellowship and academic contests.
However, the carefully planned itinerary is dramatically interrupted by events that change the world. The film offers a unique character-driven experience, combining theatrical ensemble storytelling with Wes Anderson’s signature style.
Known for directing Grand Budapest Hotel, Isle of Dogs, and The French Dispatch, Anderson delivers a poetic meditation on the meaning of life through this imaginative narrative.
